TRIBECA LOBBY PROPOSAL
GRAND SCALE & REFINED MATERIALS ELEVATE A LOBBY EXPERIENCE.
Fifteen years after the initial conversion to one of Tribeca’s premiere residential loft structures, we were invited to propose aesthetic and functional upgrades for the modernization of this 1000sf building lobby.
Our plans were sensitive to controlling costs by maintaining the shell and infrastructure of the existing space while incorporating a larger package room, refrigeration for food deliveries, proper storage for luggage carts and a concealed package drop. The seated desk was replaced with a much larger, counter-height, steel and glass service stand.
We unified the existing industrial framework of steel clad columns and board-formed concrete as a backdrop while adding new lighting to highlight the materials and brighten the overall space. Carefully placed mirror and metallic luxe finishes added sparkle, and select large residential carpet, furniture and custom chandelier accent pieces heightened the glamour.
Our design solution elevated this typical lobby + doorman encounter to a boutique hotel + concierge level experience.
